1.What is my main responsibility? What is my “title”?
These are the things I do:
I make sure that the truck that goes to the Oakland docks is filled up with donations or I'll be weighing donations to be placed into the truck.
I don't have a title.
2.What other types of tasks am I completing each week?
On Tuesday me and another guy that works their went to the main store located on Mission Blvd and dropped off some donations.

3.What is a regular day like? Describe it from start to finish.
A  regular day is like a busy day crazy day. When I get there I check in with my mentor. Then I start working by unloading trucks at lunch I go eat my food in their
kitchen. After lunch I go back to moving furniture to the back of the store.

1.What is my mentor’s name and job? (If I had more than 1, describe them both.)
My mentor's name is Luis. His job is to make sure every one is doing there job right.

2.What is their typical day (or week) like?
His day is really busy because he has to make sure every one unloads the trucks that come to the place and load them up in another truck to be sent to the Oakland  docks to be transported to Guatemala.

3.How did they become interested in this field and what skills/education background did they need?
Idk.

1.What is my workplace called, and what does it do?
My work place is called Mission Ministries, they get donations of clothes, beds, and other things that you need in your house, then they will put it in a big truck to the Oakland docks to get shipped off to Guatemala.

2.Is it a small business, a medium sized business, or a large corporation?
Its a medium sized business. Its apart of a church.

3.Where is my workplace located and what does it look like?
My work place is located on Industrial Blvd, it looks like a big factory thing.

4.How many people work there? 
20 to 35 people work there.

5.What sorts of people does my workplace employ?
Many immigrants from Spanish speaking countries.
6.Do most of the people there have a 4-year college degree, 2-year college degree, or technical certificate?
I think only a few people have a high school daploma.

7.Who does my workplace serve?
Getting donations from here in America and sending them to Guatemala.

8.What are the strengths of my workplace?
My workplace does best in sending appliances to Guatemala.

9.What are the weaknesses of my workplace?
Some weaknesses in my work place is when some people are slacking off on what there supposed to do.

1.Describe what I am thinking I’ll do for my WLE project.
I think I will design a sign for there store.

2.How did I come up with this idea?  Explain my thinking.
I looked at the the stores sign and I was shocked cause it was lame.


3.Why am I excited to actually do this project for the next 3-4 weeks?
To make them a new sign that they can put on there store

4.In Academic Seminar, you’ll get help in actually planning out your project, but for now, type your brainstorm of what you’ll need to accomplish in order to finish your project in the next 3-4 weeks?
I need to work on my project and no what I'm going to say

1.What did you do at your WLE today?
I was unloading trucks all day.

Me and my mentor did not talk about my project

    I have to use thinking critically because I have to no where to put all the donations at when there unloaded off the trucks.

3.How does this leadership skill help me do my work?
This helps me do my work by me thinking on where I'm going to put all the donations after there unloaded off of the trucks.

thinking critically, because he has to put other people in different areas to work in.

I learned that I can work at a job. The thing that I like to do is work outside of school.

2.What challenges did I face during my WLE and how did I overcome, address, or learn from them?
I was sick a lot so I called my mentor to tell him I'm not coming in.

3.What passions, values, or life lessons did I learn from this experience?
I learned that work is hard.

4.    How was my creativity put to use during my experience?
I had to talk to people that didn't speak English.

5.How did my WLE placement affect me, a community, my environment, or a particular group of people?
It affected me cause I work with a lot of Immigrants who need to support there families.

6.What do I believe now that I didn't before about this profession?
I didn't no that a job would let me work for free.

7.What specific skills did I learn or practice during my WLE that are important in this profession?
I learned that you cant slack off while working or you'll get fired.

8.If someone were to ask me why what I did at my WLE was important, what would I say?
I would say that the important thing was sending donations to Guatemala.

9.   How will what I have learned from my WLE affect the choices I make in the future?
I will make good choice in the future.

.Remember way back when you were looking for your WLE? 
In order to find my WLE and get hired, I had to make a resume and go to the job that I wanted to work at  and try to get hired. I had to ask my mom if she can help me find a Internship.
2.The most effective way of looking for a job and getting hired is by…
going to the job that you want and see if they will hire you. Look online for the job you want and call them to see if they will hire you.

3.As a result of my WLE, I think being a professional or a responsible adult in the work world means…
To get to work on time. If your sick or going to be late make sure that you call your boss .

1.What did you do today?
Today I was moving donations to the back of the building so then later they can be weighed and put into a truck then the truck will drop off all the stuff at the Oakland docks so they can be sent to guatemala.

2.How have you improved as an intern?
I improved as an intern because I now no how it feels to wake up in the morning just to go to work.

3.What about your workplace makes it a great or not so great place to work?
my work place is not so great because its all the way in west Hayward and I live in north Hayward, its great because I'll get to see my uncle there because he always buys me food when its lunch time.

1.What final thoughts do you have about your WLE?
I'm glad that WLE is over because its hard to work every Tuesday, but I'll miss it to because I have to go to school on Tuesday's now.

2. JUNIORS: How will this experience affect what WLE you look for next year?
I will make sure my WLE is not as hard as this one. I will look for one a head of time.
